Barkcamp
Barkcamp State Park has 27 electric sites in a large, shady campground for equestrians. There is a horse wash area, potable water, high lines and large pavillion for gathering together for dinner. Within walking distance is a large shower house and camp store for ice and snacks. The trails are well marked and depending on the trail, they are easy to challenging with views of Belmont Lake. There are 30 miles of trails are maintained by Belmont County OHC volunteers and is the site of the yearly “Gibby” ride in August.
Most of the trails are natural surface and meander through the forested hills and ravines overlooking Belmont Lake. Because of the popularity of this park, check on park websites to see if you need a reservation for camping, particularly on weekends and holidays
